The Artificial Intelligence Capability Survey ("Survey") seeks to collect and collate information to assist in the development of an online Artificial Intelligence Capability Mapping Tool ("AI Tool") for the AI ecosystem in New Zealand. This research is being led by AiLab together with the Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and aims to identify companies, institutions and projects that make use of AI-based tools and techniques and the associated AI capabilities of the organisations/institutions.

Survey Data: Collection And Use

The Artificial Intelligence Capability Survey collects three types of data. Types 2 and 3 (below) represent the results of this survey ("AI Capabilities") and may be mapped (categorised) within a publically available online system owned and operated by us.

  2. Answers to questions which provide data that is presented publically in the online AI Tool (questions denoted with an open padlock icon in the survey); and
  3. Answers to questions which provide additional, supporting information to help correctly categorise the AI capabilities in the AI Tool (questions denoted with a closed padlock icon in the survey).

You privacy is very important to us, and Contact Details will not be stored or used within the AI Tool. Prior to any use of AI Capabilities outside the survey submission process (e.g., in the seperate AI Tool), the AI Capabilities will be anonymised from the Contact Details.
